Heirloom is a linear pendant built around quiet refinement — a slender aged-brass body suspending two diffused shades along a single horizontal line. The result is a long, low wash of light that frames a kitchen island or dining table without crowding the space above it.

Choose between two distinct shade materials to match the mood of your room: a translucent ceramic shade that glows with a soft, lantern-like warmth, or a spun aluminum shade that throws focused, downward task light onto the surface below. What length should I choose for my dining table or island?

A common rule is to pick a fixture roughly 60–75% of the table or island length. For a 150 cm (~60″) surface choose the 102 cm version; for 180 cm (~70″) go with 120 cm; and for 200 cm (~78″) or longer, the 140 cm gives the most balanced light spread without overshooting the surface.

Ceramic shade or aluminum shade — which should I pick?

Choose ceramic if you want a soft, ambient glow that lights the whole room — the shade itself transmits light. Choose aluminum if you want focused, downward task light over a kitchen island or work surface. Aluminum is also lighter and more shock-resistant during transport and installation.

Are bulbs included? What type do I need?

Bulbs are not included. Heirloom takes two medium-base bulbs (E26 in North America, E27 in Europe and most of the world), up to 40W each. We recommend a 2700K–3000K warm-white LED for a classic dining-room feel. For dimming, use a dimmer-compatible LED bulb paired with a compatible wall dimmer.

How adjustable is the hanging height?

The suspension uses three modular rod sections — 29.5″, 11.8″, and 7.9″ — that can be combined or used individually. You can install all three for a long drop in vaulted ceilings, or use only the shortest section for low-profile rooms. A typical dining-table drop leaves the bottom of the shade 75–90 cm (30–36″) above the table surface.

Is professional installation required?

Heirloom is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so installation by a licensed electrician is recommended — particularly in regions with code requirements for hardwired fixtures. The included installation sheet covers wiring, canopy mounting, and rod assembly.
