Overview

The Renato Table Lamp draws on the quiet glamour of traditional American interiors — a fluted, gold-finished metal base carrying an opaque, striped glass shade. The proportions are deliberate: a short, columnar base lifts the shade just high enough to throw soft, dappled light across a console, side table, or nightstand.

The faceted glass shade is the showpiece. Because it’s opaque, light doesn’t pass through the body of the shade — it escapes from the top and bottom edges and catches the ribbed, faceted surface, throwing distinctive patterns and shadows onto the surrounding walls. What kind of light does the faceted glass shade produce?

Because the shade is opaque, light doesn’t pass through the body of the glass — it escapes from the top and bottom openings and catches the ribbed, faceted surface, throwing a soft pattern of light and shadow on the wall behind and beside the lamp. The effect is most pronounced at night with the room’s overhead lights off — the surrounding surfaces pick up a quiet, dappled texture. It’s an accent piece more than a primary task light.

Are bulbs included? What type do I need?

Bulbs are not included. Renato uses one G9 capsule bulb, 5W maximum. We recommend a 2700K warm-white LED in this wattage class — the warm tone gives the most authentic accent feel against the gold base. For a slightly brighter accent, a 4–5W LED is the sweet spot — anything higher than 5W is not supported by the fixture.

Where does Renato work best in a room?

Renato is sized for bedside tables, consoles, accent tables, and entryways — anywhere a 16.5″ tall, columnar lamp earns its place without overpowering the surface. The 11.8″ shade diameter means you’ll want at least 14–15″ of clear surface around the base. It’s not intended as a desk task light; the 5W bulb output is mood-grade rather than reading-grade.

Is Renato dimmable? How do I dim it?

Yes, the lamp accepts dimmable G9 bulbs. Because Renato uses an inline cord switch (on/off only), dimming requires either: (a) a dimmable bulb paired with a wall outlet on a dimmer circuit, or (b) a plug-in dimmer module placed between the cord plug and the wall outlet. Plug-in dimmers are widely available and typically support 3–150W loads.

Does the cord switch work with any standard outlet?

Yes — the lamp is plug-in only and works with any standard wall outlet for the destination market. The 150 cm (59″) cord includes an inline rocker switch within easy reach, so you don’t need a switched outlet or wall switch. Wiring is shipped configured for the destination region (NA, AU, EU, or ME) based on your delivery address.
